Screed and asphalt thickness surveys

Surface finishes are often laid to exacting tolerances, especially if laid to falls for drainage. However, once laid it is hard to accurately determine the thickness of the screed, asphalt or other surface finish. Sometimes this information is required to check the quality of the work or to determine how much of a material will need to be removed.

Radar can be utilised to scan the required area and map the thickness of the surface finishes. The determined thicknesses are plotted onto CAD drawings as a point map or a contour plot.
